Don't get ripped off by so called shops that do not show their work.
If they only show the watt meter, or tell you that you are unable to run your mic gain on the radio wide open something is not tuned properly.

Most of what I see looks like the top part in the image below.
They just crank the limiters wide open this looks great on a watt meter.
BUT In reality you are.

1 splashing other channels
2 causing excessive heat in the radio because it is cranked up too far.
3 do not sound clean and clear and actually sound muffled up
your Se's and T's in your sentences will be gone
